BIO
MB Thurman traded her career as an executive assistant to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming an author. She spends her time writing and running and remodeling the notable Miller Tree Inn, of which she is the proud owner. Though her Southern roots run deep, Thurman has adapted to the lifestyle of the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband and feisty feline, Midnight.
An avid traveler, Thurman’s book settings are inspired by the stunning places she's visited — especially by areas of the world that are brimming with magic and the echos of ancient marvels. MB Thurman’s mind is one to be explored as she navigates the journey of independent publishing and steps into the world of producing. Her company, Firecracker Entertainment, is dedicated to bringing Thurman’s novels to life through immersive storytelling in mediums ranging from screen to audio and beyond.
Her third novel, Forged: Book III in The Summoned Series, is set to release on September 9th, 2025.
MILLER TREE INN
Thurman’s notable Miller Tree Inn is also known to the bookish world as the Book Accurate Cullen House of Forks, Washington. Given the title by the town itself, the Miller Tree Inn seamlessly matches the Twilight description of the vampire family’s home. Thurman has restored the property to accurately match the “light and open” feel portrayed on the pages of Stephenie Meyer’s saga and has hidden tasteful nods to the novels throughout for fans of the books to find.

Vampires aren't the only supernatural residents you can find in Forks. In addition to being the home of the Cullens, the Miller Tree Inn is featured in The Summoned Series as the Cedar Creek Inn, a longtime favorite of Summoned Series heroine, Hadley Weston.

Firecracker Entertainment was conceptualized to bring Thurman's novels to life through immersive storytelling as a full-service media house covering not only on-screen content but ranging from music production to publishing to immersive theatre experiences. Since it's conception in 2022, Firecracker has been at the helm of book trailers and teasers for The Summoned Series, original music inspired by the story, and live theatre experience that bring the page to life before a reader's eyes, prioritizing an immersive reading experience for Thurman's audience.
Under Firecracker, Thurman is currently developing the Summoned Audio Drama, where she’ll be making her directorial debut alongside producing partner Samantha Rose Baldwin. Baldwin is also cast as the voice and face actor for the Summoned Series’ heroine, Hadley Weston.
